THE GREATEST GIFT

In ancient times, pagan gods and goddesses ruled our land. Not only the well-known god Radegast in Wallachia, but many others - good and bad, kind and quarrelsome, cheerful and serious. How will it turn out when the gods begin to interfere in the lives of people and people in the lives of the gods?

You will find out in the new Czech fairy tale filmed in Pustevny, Kozlovice and the Wallachian Museum in Nature.

NEW SHIFT

The festival award-winning documentary follows the journey of Tomáš Hisem, who worked as a miner in Ostrava for 25 years. But the labor market is changing, mines are closing, wreckers are retraining. Despite the disbelieving looks of his friends, Tomáš chooses a specialization that is far from his original profession. He wants to become a programmer. An intimate and at the same time slightly humorous time-lapse portrait by director Jindřich Andrš follows the intimate but epic odyssey of an ordinary person.

ODE TO MY FATHER

South Korean filmmakers used the locations in Ostrava and its surroundings to shoot one of the most successful films in history.

The plot takes place in the 1960s after the Korean War, when the government sent Korean men in large numbers to work in German mines, while tasking women to serve as nurses and caretakers. Our North Moravian locations thus portrayed Germany.
