The Šance Fortification
Jablunkov´s Šance is a historical fortification from 1938, built as part of the Czechoslovak border system. It is located in Jablunkov and contains bunkers and fortresses in the strategic terrain of the Beskydy Mountains. It is of interest to filmmakers due to its authenticity and atmosphere, which is ideal for historical dramas and military films. It is also a popular tourist destination with significance for history lovers.



The Darkovičky Czechoslovak Fortification Complex
This infantry blockhouse fortification complex served to protect the country during World War II. The fortification complex is highly regarded in Europe as an example of a unique Czech fortification system constructed between the years 1935 - 1938.
The Darkovičky Czechoslovak Fortification Complex consists of infantry blockhouses MO-S18, S19, S20 and a model 37A pillbox. The components of the complex represent various differences in the engineering, tactical and impact parameters, as well as different degrees of resilience. In the interior of the bunkers, you may expect to see an authentic and complex presentation.




National World War II Memorial, Hrabyně
The National World War II Memorial in Hrabyně is a monumental concrete structure featuring striking brutalist architecture that visually resembles a fortification. Its exteriors create a dramatic setting with large open spaces, ramps, and strong geometric lines. The location is suitable for filming scenes that require a monumental, symbolic, or military backdrop. The interior spaces have a commemorative character, so filming inside is usually limited or subject to individual agreement.



Czechoslovak Fortification Complex, Milostovice
The Czechoslovak fortification complex in Milostovice features a preserved set of light fortification structures (so-called “řopíky”) from the 1930s. The concrete bunkers, with narrow firing slits and simple interior layouts, provide an authentic setting for military exteriors and smaller interior scenes. The location is ideal for filming battle sequences, historical reenactments, or military documentaries, while retaining the original industrial and defensive character of the structures.
