The feature film The Fighter, directed by Vojtěch Frič and Tomáš Dianiška, presents the first trailer for a raw story about guilt, courage and the search for a second chance. It will be released in Czech cinemas on August 13, 2026.

Milan Ondrík stars in the lead role as former champion Pavel "Hoff" Hoffmeister, who returns to the world of MMA after years. The film follows not only his return to the sport, but above all his internal struggle with his own past and his efforts to correct old mistakes.

The film emphasizes authenticity and works with the real MMA environment. Thanks to the cooperation with the Oktagon organization, the film also features real wrestlers and footage from major tournaments, including a scene with more than 25,000 spectators. "Czech film has never experienced such a backdrop. The best card in the history of the Oktagon, tens of thousands of spectators and tension that could be cut," says producer and director Vojtěch Frič.

The film also stars Ema Businská, Martin Finger, Ján Jackuliak, Hana Vagnerová and Eliška Balzerová. The film is being co-produced by love.FRAME, Bontonfilm Studios, B Production, Oktagon and TV JOJ.

Filming took place in the spring and summer of last year in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, with part of it being shot in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The filmmakers also used well-known locations in the region, which underline the atmosphere of the story and give the film a strong visual authenticity.

The film was also supported by the Moravian-Silesian Film Vouchers program, which contributes to the development of audiovisual production and the implementation of film projects in the region.

The Moravian-Silesian Film Office participated in the project through its service facilities, especially in searching for and securing locations in the region.

The film is scheduled to premiere in August 2026, and distribution is provided by Bontonfilm.
